Privacy Statement

Thank you for visiting one of the websites owned by PDI, Inc., its affiliates or subsidiaries (“PDI”).  PDI believes in safeguarding your privacy online, while helping you access all that our site has to offer. Below you will find the details of our privacy commitment to our visitors.

This privacy policy will inform you of the following:

What personally identifiable information does PDI collect and how is this information used by PDI?

PDI stores the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer when you visit our site. We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer our website, and to gather broad demographic information. Some personally identifiable information may be gathered when you register with or download items from the site. At that time we may ask for your name, email address, mailing address, phone, title, product responsibility and other optional information. This information is used by PDI in several ways: To measure demographics and response in order to customize content that you see and to prepare marketing initiatives, to fulfill your requests for information about PDI, to contact you about special offers and new service offerings, and to offer technical support and customer service to our customers. Wherever PDI collects personally identifiable information, we make every effort to offer you the opportunity to opt-in or opt-out of future communications.

In addition, personally identifiable information may also be obtained from you when you voluntarily create an account via the site to access job postings and to post your resume, such as contact information (name, email address, mailing address, telephone number), password, username, employment history, education, qualifications for employment, professional references, and any other personally identifiable information contained in your account or any resume that you post to our website.  In this regard, we may use your personally identifiable information to send you a welcoming email to verify your username and password, for employee recruitment purposes and/or employment determination (including checking references, collecting information about you from a third party or outside source and verifying personally identifiable information that you provide to us) and to respond to your requests for information.

What are "cookies" and how does PDI use them?

A cookie is a small data file that certain Web sites write to your hard drive when you visit them. A cookie file can contain information such as a user ID that the site uses to track the pages that have been visited. But the only personally identifiable information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. A cookie can’t read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites. PDI may use cookies to track user traffic patterns (as described above), when you ask for information on-line or download information.

If you’ve set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies, you will receive the warning message with each cookie. You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. You do not need to have cookies turned on to use our site.

Who is collecting information?

When you are at our website and offer us information, your information is being collected by PDI or one of our third party partners engaged to enable us to administer this site or provide marketing and advertising on our behalf.

Our website may provide links to third party websites not controlled by PDI.  The inclusion of any link does not imply PDI’s endorsement of the external site company, its website or the services or products it promotes or sells.  PDI is not responsible or liable for the privacy policies of these third party sites.  It is recommended that you check the specific privacy statements of any site before providing any personally identifiable information.

With whom does PDI share my information?

As a general rule, PDI will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information to external, non-affiliated companies except when we have your explicit permission or under the circumstances described below.

PDI may provide your personally identifiable information to third party vendors and service agencies we have engaged to help us provide a product or service or to provide us with advice (such as auditors or legal advisors). In addition, we outsource certain functions of our business and those agents may have access to your personally identifiable information.  Any of these organizations to which we provide such personally identifiable information is also required to keep your personally identifiable information confidential in accordance with this privacy policy.

PDI also reserves the right to disclose personally identifiable information in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) our rights or property, other web site users, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities. We may also disclose personally identifiable information without notice to you in response to a subpoena or when we believe in good faith that the law permits it or to respond to an emergency situation.

In the event PDI or its subsidiaries or affiliates or their assets are sold, merged or otherwise involved in a corporate transaction, your personally identifiable information will likely be transferred as part of that transaction. We reserve the right to transfer your information without your consent in such a situation; provided that we will make reasonable efforts to see that your privacy preferences are honored by the transferee.

PDI may share statistical or aggregated non-personally identifiable information about our visitors with business partners and other third parties.  No personally identifiable information is supplied in these cases.

What are my choices regarding collection, use, and distribution of my information?

If you indicated upon registration/supplying of information that you are interested in being contacted by or getting information from PDI, we may occasionally send you e-mail or standard mail about PDI or special offers and services that we feel might be of interest to you. Only PDI (or service providers or other agents working on behalf of PDI and under confidentiality agreements) will send you these e-mailings and only if you indicated that you do not object to these offers. If you do not want to receive such mailings, simply tell us when you supply your information to PDI. Or, at any time you can choose to unsubscribe from our mailing list by replying with “unsubscribe” in the subject line of an e-mail. Be sure to include your name in the message. Once you are unsubscribed, you will no longer receive such offers or mailings. Please allow two to three weeks for unsubscribe requests to take effect.

PDI does not knowingly collect or use any personally identifiable information from visitors under 13 years of age.  No information should be submitted to our website by guests under 13 years of age, and visitors under 13 years old are not allowed to register for our products or services.  If you believe that we have information from or about anyone under 13 years of age, please notify us by completing the “Contact Us” form on our website.

Although we have tried to create a safe and reliable site, the confidentiality of any information transmitted to or from this site cannot be guaranteed. While PDI takes reasonable steps to protect your personally identifiable information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction, you should always exercise caution when conveying personally identifiable information over the Internet. When disclosing any personally identifiable information, remain mindful that such information might be accessible by the public and, consequently, may be collected and used by others without your consent.
