Select Access™ to Co-Promote Anti-Viral Oral Medication

Seasonal agreement is second contract with expanded coverage

Saddle River, NJ— (September, 2006) PDI, Inc. (NASDAQ: PDII) a diversified sales and marketing services provider to the biopharmaceutical industry, has announced that its Select Access™ unit has been awarded a seasonal contract to promote an anti-viral oral medication from September 2006 – April 2007. This is the second year a contract has been awarded to Select Access to detail this medication, and represents an expansion to 250,000 calls to primary care physicians and pediatricians, 85% of which are in primary position.  Select Access will have exclusive call coverage of pediatricians and their calls to primary care physicians will be heavily weighted to high subscribers.

Select Access has a unique selling model where multiple, non-competitive clients can access a fully operational sales force in high prescribing zip codes with a high percentage of first detail position calls. Since the sales team, and its cost, are leveraged across multiple clients, Select Access™ is effective for over-the-counter; and Rx established, seasonal and specialty products.
