PDI Appoints Nancy Connelly Senior Vice President, Sales Support Services

SADDLE RIVER, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 11, 2007--PDI, Inc. (NASDAQ:PDII), a provider of commercialization services to the biopharmaceutical industry, today announced the appointment of Nancy Connelly as Senior Vice President, Sales Support Services, effective immediately. Ms. Connelly will also serve on the Executive Committee.

In this expanded role, Ms. Connelly is accountable for managing sales, marketing and talent management. Specifically as it relates to her sales role, Ms. Connelly will manage all teams for Performance Sales and for the Company's new services, which include PDI On Demand.

Ms. Connelly joined PDI in October 1992 as a sales representative and rose through the sales management ranks to positions of increasing responsibility including Division Sales Manager, National Sales Manager, Associate Vice President - Sales, and Vice President - Sales. In addition to her expansive sales experience, Nancy has also served the organization as the Senior Vice President of Sales Operations. In this capacity, she led critical sales support functions including recruiting and hiring, sales training, incentive planning and field force deployment.

In addition, the Company engaged an executive search firm to fill the position of president of the Sales Services segment.
